Post Beuys

Here’s to those of us who are living out our mythologies, minute by hour by day, rather than inventing them. Slowly we sound out the letters, a word a day, or less, of our sacred narratives.
This is how we came to be. This is what we came to do.
Triumphs, great deeds, failures, tragedies, disguised by job titles and expectations of normality.
If you look at our lives we don’t have enough spelled out to make sense until later. Sometimes suddenly, sometimes not until we are old, or dead.
Rare times, we have an observer or two, reading as the tale is happening, waiting to see what happens next.
I get my courage from following your story. Thanks for being; it becomes you.

About genieearle

I make things in my tiny studio called Claywise, as I try to understand the world I live in, and what it means to be human. I have 4 amazing offspring who are making their own paths, and I am currently an outpatient counselor at a drug and alcohol rehab center, where we do expressive arts in group therapy.
