Every day I log on various job sites, hoping that today will hold the golden opportunity that I’ve been longing for. Instead, its the same old same old, and I sift through the sales customer service garbage trying to fit my square skill set into round pegs.
Here is what I wish I could see when I look at job postings. In a perfect world:
Artist Wanted for multi-million dollar project. Must have ceramics background and be able to start immediately. Bring your own ideas, we don’t have any. Will send a car and driver daily. Contract position: $500K over 6 months. Send resume only, no cover letters please.
ART TUTOR needed! In my lake home, two hours daily after school. Will pay $100 per day, plus free use of boat and wave runner. My children need to pass Art or they won’t get into college!!
Help Wanted: Gallery owner ready to retire, looking for someone to take over my flourishing business on Frazier St. Large storefront, 1500 sq.ft. studio space, and spacious loft apartment overlooking the river. Lovely walled garden in back. No money down, will take artwork as payment. Prefer ceramic sculpture.
